WOULD YOU ANALYZE MY APPLICANTS FROM LAST YEAR SO THAT I CAN EVALUATE THE UTILITY OF THE DATABASE FOR MYSELF?
Yes, we'd be happy to create a database of applicants from the most recent recruitment season for free. Seeing your own applicants in the database is the best way to visualize how much easier finding the best applicants can be.
IS THE ACCURACY OF THE DATABASE GUARANTEED?
While every effort is made to verify that all the information in the database is completely accurate, there is no way to guarantee complete accuracy. Errors or omissions may be the result of rare recognition mistakes by the software, which might interpret an "I" as a "1" say. Other issues stem from the documents themselves. For example, if an applicant fails to mention in their MyERAS application that they were elected to AOA, then this honor will not be registered in the database. A human reader might notice that the membership was mentioned in the text of the MSPE however.
I'VE NEVER USED A DATABASE BEFORE. DO I NEED TRAINING?
The database is simpler and more robust than MyERAS, so you should not need any special training or technical knowledge to use it. If you'd prefer, we can provide the database as an Excel spreadsheet.
WILL I STILL NEED TO READ APPLICATIONS?
Yes. We provide a tool that can assist you in selecting which applications to examine first, but ultimate responsibility for evaluating applicants to your program still rests with you.
ARE GRADES FOR SUB-INTERNSHIPS INCLUDED IN THE DATABASE?
At this time, sub-internship grades are not included in the database. We hope to include this information in the future.
HOW ARE THE APPLICATIONS TRANSFERRED?
Users can upload the PDF formatted applications from their user page. Updated applications can be uploaded as many times as desired without risk of duplicated entries.
ARE THE APPLICATIONS AND THE DATABASE STORED SECURELY?
The applications are transmitted to us through secure servers using industrial strength encryption.
WILL YOU SHARE ANY INFORMATION ABOUT WHO APPLIES TO OUR PROGRAM WITH ANYONE ELSE?
No. We will never share any personally identifiable information about your applicants or your program with anyone else.
